Saturday we will be meeting at the Springdale Neighborhood Market on Hwy. 412 East by 8 a.m.  We will leave the market at 8 a.m. and drive to Granny's Kitchen in Huntsville for breakfast.  This restaurant comes highly recommended.  After breakfast we will drive over toward Berryville to Cosmic Caverns.  The entry price will be $12 per person.  Leonard will bring the coupons to allow us to get this price.

If you plan to join us Saturday, please RSVP rblamphear@gmail.com by Thursday evening so we can let the restaurant know how many of us to expect.  Hope to see you Saturday.

Saturday, August 14, is our monthly club meeting at the Clarion Inn in Fayetteville and will be followed by our Miata Club birthday party at Superior Mazda in Bentonville.  We will meet, have breakfast, and play 50/50 at the Clarion at 9 a.m. and then travel over to Superior Mazda for a BBQ lunch.  Please try to make it this Saturday.  It should be a good time and we can show off our cars at the dealership.  Don't forget your item for 50/50!

Thursday night, August 12, at 7 p.m. will be the last concert in the park at Gulley Park in Fayetteville for this summer.  Full House is playing.  This is a really good band that I think most of our club members would enjoy.  Bring your lawn chairs and let's meet at Gulley Park.  Hope to see you there.

Leonard,

Great trip to Dogwood Canyon.

We enjoyed the scenery and the tram ride very much.

That's " T - R - A - M    R - I  - D - E "

Another great memory with our Miata family.

Thanks again

Jim,

I just wanted to recognize your great drive you led last month across the damns in the northern Arkansas.

Martha and I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the trip very much.

NWA Miata Club
July 17, 2010 Cruise & Pool Party

10:00 am meet in the parking lot of the Pinnacle Hills Promenade Walgreen’s (off I-540, exit 83), 4206 W. New Hope Road

Cruise the back roads of Rogers to scenic Route 12 and head East to the Hobbs State Park Conservation Area
Stop 1 – Historic Van Winkle Trail – walk under Route 12 to the site of the Van Winkle lumber mill and home in Van Winkle Hollow
Stop 2 – War Eagle Mill – while the historic one-lane bridge is currently under restoration, the Mill is still accessible from Route 12 and the Mill is grinding
   Stop 3 – Newly opened Visitor’s Center – Ozarks-themed exhibits
Cruise to our home overlooking Beaver Lake for BBQ and fun in the pool, or just relaxing on the deck!

We don’t want anyone to have to worry about cooking or bringing food, so we have asked the experts to do that for us. For $10 per person, Backyard Burgers will grill hamburgers, cheeseburgers, bratwurst, and chicken. They will bring potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans and the all-important brownies!! We will provide water, soft drinks and margueritas.  All you need to bring are your towels, flip-flops (the deck gets very hot), and any other preferred beverages/libations.

So we will have an accurate count for the food, RSVP to Jan via email at BSLJ2000@aol.com by Friday, July 9 and mail your check payable to: Jan & Stan Woytowicz, 7827 Fain Drive, Rogers, AR 72756.

And, for those who wonder how to say our last name, we like to joke that it is pronounced, “Smith.” But, what works is to think, “My Toes Itch!” and then it’s easy to say, “Woy – TOE’ – vitch.”

We will be meeting at the Clarion Inn in Fayetteville at 8:45 a.m. and driving to the Rolling Pin restaurant for breakfast.  After breakfast we will drive to Mt. Magazine and finish out our day with a visit to the Red Rooster Bistro for food and/or pie.  Please contact Ken Nelson at knk73@cox.net to RSVP for this trip.

Kay Nelson will be getting our tickets for the Naturals' game on June 5.  If you plan to go to the game but will not be at the meeting, please contact Kay at the same email address as above and let her know you need tickets.  You can pay her at the game.  All others will pay her at the June 5 meeting.

Mark you calendar for these two fun events.

If you have not ordered your new club shirts yet, they will be available at these two events and at the June meeting for you to try on and place your order.

Hi Gang,

Saturday, June 19, will be our first overnight trip of the year. This trip will have us driving over 4 of the 5 large lake dams with roads. (Get it....Dam Road Trip) We will travel some of the best Miata roads in the Natural State. Ronny Johnston organized and led this trip 2-3 years back and everyone had a great time, so I am sure you will not want to miss it. We will overnight in Heber Springs, where motel space is limited during summer months.

We will stay at the Quality Inn, 3450 Hwy. 25 B North, Heber Springs, AR. Telephone: 501-362-1000. I have blocked 15 rooms. Prices range from: $89.96 to $103.46 plus taxes, based on availability. CALL NOW!!! Early callers get lower rate rooms. Request a room from the NWA Miata Club block. Any rooms still in the block at the end of June 4 will be returned to regular rate hotel inventory. Cancellations can be made as late as 4:00 PM June 19.
More on this trip in near future.
Jim Burgner - organizer

Please meet in the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market parking lot located at Water Tower Rd. & US62/AR102.
This is the same place we have met many times before.
Meet at 7:45 AM and we will leave at 8:00 AM.
